Profile
Milou holds a master's degree in law from Utrecht University and a bachelor's degree in international studies from Leiden University, where she specialised in Latin America and Spanish. She is currently completing a master's degree in Law and Society at Leiden University. Her academic interests include sports law and political representation, with recent research examining the current framework of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in relation to athletes' access to justice.
In addition to her studies, Milou has worked as an academic advisor for the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security and gained experience in both the public and private sectors, including a management position at a well-known café in The Hague. She also completed an internship at Team Amani, a cycling initiative that promotes equal access to sport in East Africa. Milou has been a member of the Dutch national jujitsu team for many years and won bronze at the world championships in 2022 and 2023.
