Profile

Maria Hanswijk is a student of the LL.B. Global Law at Tilburg University, currently finishing a minor in Dutch law. She has experience in event organisation through her roles as a board member of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) in the Netherlands and Switzerland. In this capacity, Maria has organised international conferences, study visits, and seminars, including visits to Brussels and Strasbourg. Additionally, she is currently volunteering at SEET (Support Education, Empower Together), an organisation that supports refugees (re)starting their higher education in Switzerland.

With a strong interest in public international law, environmental law, and human rights law, Maria is currently contributing to the Asser Institute by assisting in the organisation of events and training programs.
