Profile

Katerina recently graduated from the University of Groningen, where she obtained an LL.M. in Public International Law: International Human Rights track. Her thesis examined the extent to which legal restrictions on safe abortion may amount to acts of genderized torture. Her research interests focus on international human rights and public international law and include themes such as gender equality and refugee rights.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Democritus University of Greece, and she has gained legal experience across various sectors, such as a philanthropic foundation, private legal practice, and an environmental NGO. She has completed specialized training in refugee law, data protection, and gender-based violence and is a qualified lawyer, registered with the Athens Bar Association.
