2024
The Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research is pleased to announce its third Doctoral Research Forum!
The third edition will be held in partnership with Tilburg University Law School on Friday, 8 November 2024 at Tilburg University. The Forum will bring together a group of PhD members who engage in research in the field of human rights. The objective is for participants to present their work in a collaborative setting and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange as well as interaction and mentorship between junior and senior members. To provide valuable feedback to participants, senior members of the Network will serve as discussants. View the full programme here.
We accept submissions from PhD members at any stage of their doctoral project, and particularly encourage applications from those who are currently in the first and second years of their PhD programme. Abstracts can outline the candidate’s research project, a chapter of their thesis, or an article in progress. Final presentations are expected to be 10 minutes and will be followed by a discussion round, during which a senior member of the Network will offer feedback to each presenter individually as well as a general Q & A. Selected presenters may have the opportunity to publish a post on the Network’s Human Rights Here blog subject to editorial decision and review.
To register, please complete this Google Form. Through the form you can also submit your abstract (max. 500 words). If you already have in mind a senior member of the Network who may be a suitable discussant, you are encouraged to indicate this in your submission. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 6 September 2024.
Please note that only NNHRR members who are PhD candidates at the time of the Forum are eligible to participate. (If you are in the process of becoming a member, please feel free to submit your abstract, but membership is required to participate in the Forum.) For more information on the NNHRR and how to join, visit https://www.asser.nl/nnhrr/membership/.
If you have questions or if you encounter any problems with the registration form, please contact the organizers of the Forum, Anmol Gulecha and Amy Locklear, at NNHRR.DoctoralResearchForum@gmail.com.
We look forward to receiving your submissions!
