Profile

Paula is a recent graduate of the Master’s programme in Public International Law and Human Rights at Utrecht University. Previously, she completed her Bachelor in Law at the University of Málaga.

Prior to joining T.M.C. Asser, she interned at the 89th Session of the UN CEDAW Committee and at The Advocates for Human Rights, where she worked at the Refugee and Immigration programme.

Her main areas of interest are public international law, civil and political rights, especially the rights to freedom of expression and assembly, and counter-terrorism.

At the Asser Institute, Paula works as an intern in the research strand “In the public interest: accountability of the state and the prosecution of crimes”, focusing on several projects in relation to Counter-terrorism and Public International Law.
