Profile

Konstantina has recently graduated from the University of Utrecht with an LL.M. in Public International Law, specialising in Security and Conflict. Konstantina wrote her thesis on one aspect of the civilianisation of digital operations and specifically, she researched the IHL implications of individuals who are using their smartphones to provide information to the Ukrainian military. During her studies in Utrecht University, she was working as a student assistant and conducted research in the project ‘Civilian Agency, Armed Groups and International Law’ under the lead of Professor Katharine Fortin. Prior to this, she obtained an LL.M. in Public International Law and an LL.B. in Law awarded by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her primary interests include international humanitarian law, international criminal law and especially its cultural dimensions. At the Asser Institute, Konstantina contributes to several projects and events within the strand of ‘In the public interest: accountability of the state and the prosecution of crimes’.
