Profile

Eylül has recently graduated from Tilburg University, earning her LL.M. in International Law and Global Governance, specializing in environmental law and international relations. She wrote her thesis on utilizing United Nations Security Council's legislative competence to combat the climate crisis. Prior to this, she obtained an LL.M. in Public Law and an LL.B. in Law from Bilkent University. Alongside her studies, she contributed to several NGOs and academic initiatives, ranging from leading projects to enhance legal literacy in Türkiye to supporting humanitarian aid missions for refugees in Egypt. Her primary research interests include international environmental law, international security studies and international humanitarian law. At the Asser Institute, Eylül contributes to the projects and events within the strand of ‘In the public interest: accountability of the state and the prosecution of crimes’.
