Profile
Divija is a recent graduate from Leiden University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, specialising in the South and Southeast Asian region. She also pursued minors in Gender Studies across different cultures and societies and Law, Governance and Development, which included coursework on legal and societal issues in the MENA region and Law and Society in Japan. This interdisciplinary academic background has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of global socio-political dynamics and the intersections of law, governance, gender, and development.
For a year, Divija worked as an intern for an international CSO in The Hague, where she gained practical experience in project management, identifying fundraising opportunities, and developing communication strategies. Her work focused on promoting gender equality and effective governance. Her interests include gender equity, governance systems, and sustainable development. At the Asser Institute, she looks forward to expanding her knowledge in International Law and contributing to the Institute’s mission of advancing justice and legal understanding on a global scale as an Events intern.
