Profile

Annika has recently graduated from the University of Amsterdam, with an LL.M. in Public International Law. Her primary areas of focus and interest encompass international humanitarian law, human rights law, and criminal law. She wrote her master's thesis on the involvement of non-state actors in cyber operations during the conflict in Ukraine. Her primary areas of interest in international humanitarian law revolve around the legal aspects of military operations, and the evolving role of non-state actors in contemporary conflicts. During her bachelor studies, Annika completed a 5-month internship in Communications at UN Women Finland, gaining practical experience in the field.

Annika first joined the Asser Institute as a communications and PR Intern, and has now joined Asser Press as an editorial assistant.
