Mongolian judicial academy and Asser Institute sign cooperation agreement

The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy of Mongolia and the Asser Institute in The Hague have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a framework for bilateral cooperation in judicial training and research.
Last month, a delegation of the Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy of Mongalia, visited the Asser Institute in The Hague to sign a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement aims to enhance judges' qualifications through exploring various collaborative activities, such as joint symposiums, conferences, workshops, and exchange programmes for experts and training staff.
Both institutions aim to engage in study visits to judicial institutions, visiting research fellowships, exchange of legal training materials, and joint development of curricula. In the framework of the MoU, the aim is also share to documents, scientific publications, and educational resources to improve judges' knowledge base.
The purpose of the agreement is to enhance the functioning of the judiciary and supporting the rule of law in Mongolia. The collaboration is expected to foster an amicable relationship between the institutions while providing mutually beneficial exchanges of information and experience in judicial training methodologies.
"The partnership with the JTRI, which is connected to Mongolia’s Supreme Court, will help strengthen judicial systems through sharing knowledge and experience," said Kasper Vrolijk, managing director of the Asser Institute.
